Simple Discoveries in Life


I thought this was a cute picture. It kind of reminded me of my sweet little girl when we observed her watching her own shadow as she was singing a little diddy and moving around. Isn't it neat to see how excited little ones can be when they discover new things. Even things that the rest of us wouldn't think twice about. Another example of how we should be like a little child and find joy in life and in discovering new things, having enthusiasm when faced with a challenge, and not worrying knowing that our Father in heaven can be trusted.

-- that 192 million Valentine's Day cards are exchanged each year and that doesn't even include the packaged kids valentines for classroom exchanges.

-- that 1,271 locations employing 43,379 people produced chocolate and cocoa products in 2003. California had the most, not Pennsylvania which you might would guess, but it had the second most. All of these locations shipped out $13.5 billion worth of product.

-- that there were 22,022 florists nationwide in 2003 employing 113,270 people.

-- that I am cheap; therefore, I try to avoid contributing to the above figures : )

I know I am only 5'9", but this is ridiculous.

I guess if we do get in a wreck, my adam's apple will stay in place.

Maybe this is payback for all those years that I didn't buckle my seatbelt.

I work in a basket.


Check out this building!!! Is that cool or what? It is the home office of The Longaberger Company in Newark, Ohio. I guess they are the nation's premier maker of handcrafted baskets... yeah whatever, I just think their building is cool. I guess this building is 160 times the size of their Medium Market Basket. They also have other interesting facts and features of the building. Can you imagine working in this basket/building. Hmmm.

You may have already seen this in your email, but I thought this card trick was pretty clever. I changed it slightly in order to get it to show up here.
