Potty Talk # 5
I just read a post that fits perfectly for my Potty Talk series called Beat the Flush at http://gmhw.blogspot.com/ that I am sure you can relate to, esp. the women. If you have the time, read some of her other very witty posts. I thought they were hilarious, insightful, and very well written.

Though I've never had a child to potty train, I did experience training a mentally disabled dog (yes, dogs can be retarted - ask my vet). It took nine long months before he stopped peeing and pooping in the house. Nine. He's four now and doesn't know the command "come." Is all lost? Hardly. He's the most loving, playful dog I know. WE LOVE YOU, OTIS!
Also, thanks for the kind words, author of Things That Make You Go Hmmm.
Sincerely,

Try training three kids at once in diapers (yes, I did say three). Thank goodness I got a break by going to work. My wife is a saint.

I had a potty disaster at the office recently. Feeling a sudden oncoming implosion, I ran for the unisex restroom in the lobby. In my haste, I forgot to lock the door. A minute later, the door swung open,..... I looked up.... she gasped and slamed the door shut. Well… I think you got the picture. Lesson learned: lock before you squat.
